Yesha is a graduate of University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Criminal Justice. Following her undergraduate, Yesha decided to relocate to Oklahoma City for three (3) years and attend Oklahoma City University School of Law. During law school, Yesha joined the Jodi G. Marquette American Indian Wills Clinic. As part of the course, Yesha visited different American Indian Reservations in Oklahoma. The course allowed Yesha and her classmates to work under the supervision of a licensed Oklahoma attorney in providing wills drafting services to American Indians who own an interest in Indian land in Oklahoma. The classroom component of the course also focused on receiving instruction and training in client relations and American Indian estate planning.
She received her Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2015. Promptly after graduation, Yesha moved back home to Irving, Texas to start studying for the bar exam. Yesha was determined to pass the bar exam. She spent close to ten (10) hours a day for nearly two (2) months studying for the July 2015 bar exam.
While waiting for the bar result, she decided to apply for a judicial internship at George Allen Civil Courts Building. She was a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Martin Hoffman of the 68th Judicial District Court in Dallas County, Texas. As an intern, she drafted legal memorandum, observed trials and hearings in civil litigation matters. For nearly three months, Yesha observed, and assisted the Court staff and Judge with trial preparation, and jury selection. She also received default judgment training by the Court Coordinator during this time period. As part of her networking and court room interaction with attorneys on the daily, she received her first full time position as a litigation attorney with a personal injury firm in Dallas, Texas.
Yesha is licensed to practice law in Texas since November 2015. Yesha joined the team at Brandy Austin Law Firm in July of 2016. One of Yesha’s focus is representing injured women, men, and children due to the negligence of an individual, or a company. Yesha believes in allowing the pre-litigation personal injury process to benefit injured clients. She considers this one of the most efficient and effective way of resolution. But when the process does not help the clients, she is not hesitant in proceeding forward through litigation. As part of her litigation role, she drafts and files motions, attends mediation, conducts depositions, prepares a case for trial, and presents the case at trial. Yesha has successfully tried at least two bench trials in Justice of the Peace Courts in Tarrant County. Yesha is also second chair to Brandy Austin on multiple cases tried to verdict for personal injury. Yesha generally practices in Tarrant and Dallas counties. Occasionally you will find her in the outlying counties in Texas.
Yesha wears many hats since joining the team at the Brandy Austin Law Firm. Another focus of hers is practicing estate planning, and probate matters. With the help of the probate legal staff, Yesha helps clients plan their estate through customized estate planning options available to each client. Yesha also helps individuals whose family member(s) recently passed away and are in need of probate services. She achieves this by filing the necessary documents with the Court and attending a prove-up hearing. One of her favorite subjects to practice is a contested probate litigation matter.
Yesha was born and raised in India. While in India, her parents enrolled Yesha in school focused in English to help facilitate the change and the move. She moved to the United States at the age of twelve (12). Being in a new country, and barely speaking the language, Yesha had to not only learn the culture and tradition, but also learn English fluently. She believes that anything can be achieved with hard work and determination. It’s the hard work and determination that successfully helped her learn English, fluently. Yesha is the first generation college and law school graduate in her immediate family.
She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. As a young adult, Yesha learned to read and write in Hindi and Gujarati. Now, she’s only able to read at a snail’s speed in Hindi and Gujarati. In her free time, Yesha loves to travel, watch movies, read, and spend time with her family. Yesha loves to eat food and try new restaurants through Yelp.
