business in English and I’m the mayor my degree is in biology so you do what you want nobody can stop you but for the first time ever Fort Worth has four women serving as mayor and council members and to put it into perspective for you how far we’ve come I’m the only in 44 Mayors I’m only the second female K Granger of course is first and then me so you Mo many of you will run for Council or run for mayor or run for school board or maybe County Clerk like Mary Louise back here there are a lot of
great things just don’t be hamstrung follow the Bill of Rights and do what you want want to so an and I are proud to present this Proclamation today it’s a proclamation from the office of the mayor although there have been Monumental strides in promoting gender equality in the US and around the world there are noticeable differences between respect and treatment of men and women in an attempt to advocate for gender equality in the World Girls Inc of tarant County and other local and state
agencies has brought the celebration of the day of the girls to Fort w the day of the girl is dedicated to informing girls about challenges that affect you helping you overcome those obstacles by empowering you to be strong smart and bold we urge you to follow your potential and follow your dreams most importantly the city of Fort Worth is proud to pair with Girls Inc of tarant county in celebrating this day of the girl and to show our appreciation for all girls and all women in Fort Worth and tarant county for your contributions
and your future contributions to make our city and county a great place therefore we the city of Council of Fort Worth do hereby Proclaim October the 11th 2015 as the day of the girl in the city of Fort Worth and we’re proud to do that
