[Music] I’m Heather and today I have with me so today it is March 29th 2019 and on today’s episode we’ll discuss a few new stories and talk about custody and visitation but first we’ll cover a few things and it’s a couple of little news stories basically today is national limited chiffon cake date so basically go out there and try that honestly today also national Vietnam War Veterans Day basically today on March 29th it honors the men and women who have that served and sacrificed during the longest
conflict in the United States history it was a march 29th from 1973 when combat and combat support units with from Vietnam generations later veterans of this time period order gaining the respect that was not so freely given upon their return there were 58,000 killed and basically never to return so national Vietnam War Veterans Day recognizes the military service of these men and women who answered the call to serve their country when she needed them most so and they didn’t make the decision to go on
comments today let’s definitely try to recognize the service and do being rigor to by all service men and women of this era so today is also national model top business owners day and what this is is and is observed annually of course on March 29th and this Day honors all small business owners small businesses are of course a vital part of the United States economy there’s been or these businesses are not always appreciated for the critical role that they play they basically we can show them so today
we’re going to go ahead and kind of jump into today’s topic it’s going to be bandwidth walk whereas we’re going to go ahead and kind of discuss a custody and visitation and so we’ll pop in this part in here and get into our first big question so deep drink and it’s custody and visitation really a big issue custody visitation huge issues and family law yes he took the refers to this arrives with respect to the child visitation refers to win for a moment non-custodial parent has access to job
question that I often get especially going to take in you know potential new clients they always ask what does the standard of visitation mean exactly well the standard visitation is the sensationalism published by the Texas Family Code which basically provides that one parent is the custodial parent has primary custody or the non-custodial parent has as less than primary custody and the non-custodial parent typically has 1st 3rd 5th weekend visitation and they alternate holidays what basically
and how are we able to help a person that kind of wants to be able to go in and change their custody or their visitation orders what we can do is we can file a petition to modify for possession access and or child support at the same time that someone should take when it works out that they want to change their court order first they should make an appointment and come in so we can look at the existing order and see what see what’s working what’s not working and then devise a plan to involve a petition
to modify either all or the portion of the existing words that are not working [Music] just on how long the legal process you take when it comes to trying to change my quarters well it varies depends upon the nature and complexity of a modification you can take a month or two or many months depending on them just what all is involved and how many factors issue which I’m getting in there and you know just it kind of a friendly reminder we do offer you know free well as a complimentary 30-minute consultation to
